Inexpensive Idea for Displaying Family Photos
Posted by Admin on October 4th, 2008 filed in UncategorizedSomething really cool to do is designate a photo wall where you can either begin to or compile a transition of your family through the years.
Here is a suggestion for one way this can be done easily and inexpensively.
Choose the photos: Choose from pictures of your family when it was very young and if there is a difference then choose some more current pictures also. Pictures of your children “from then and now” work great.
Fix the photos: After choosing your pictures, scan the older ones into your computer if necessary. Likely the newer ones are already there.
Adobe Photoshop is great for photo editing. The first thing to do is make all the sizes the same. Use the “Image-Size” function in Photoshop. I would suggest making them all 5 x 7.  Next use the “Image-Mode-Grayscale” function if desired and make them all black and white for a neat effect.
Buy the frames: For the best effect, select the same frames for each picture.
Hang the frames: Once framed, the next step is deciding on how to hang them. Whether the pictures are oriented portrait style or landscape style will determine the configuration.
Some options are:
- a straight line across
- down in a straight line
- in a perfect square
Pay attention to spacing and measure to make sure they are perfectly spaced from each other.
When finished this will create a meaningful photo history of your family that will be cherished for years to come.
