Shingles?

After reading on the Internet about the assorted symptoms, I am afraid I have a case of the dreaded shingles. I generally avoid doctors at all costs. From what I’ve read, if you see a doctor within the first 72 hours, there is a way to minimize the symptoms of shingles. I’m afraid I’m far outside that timeframe, however, so there will be no Blue Cross NC claims from me on this one. I will be having to tough this one out.
If anyone has any experience, though, I’d love to hear about it. I have several clusters of sores, some of which are beginning to crust over. They are all on my right side and I also have soreness starting from under my right armpit and extending down to the bottom of my ribs on that side.
Sound familiar to anyone?
